The doctor i went to said I have a strained lower back muscle, and said i could still do some limited upper body workouts... how long does this process usually take before i can get back into the heat of things? What kind of streches can i do before workouts in the future to stop this from happening again?
Very Respectfully,
Tim

A good warm up, drink enough water and no overtraining.

A very extremely easy back stretch is to get down on your knees and push out your back as a cat.

I cannot say how long it gonna take to heal. I over trained my lower back last summer and when I take too heavy or get a little tired I can still feel it today. Just be careful and make sure of taking the necessairy rest.

Lower back aches is a pain in the neck......
