dumbell curls

when i do dumbells curls for some reason i don't feel that i am working the biecp muscle as much as the forearms after following fts notes and asking people i know about it anyone got any ideas

24 hours in a day,24 beers in a case,concidence?

I found the same problem when I started working out?
How long have you been working out for??

That means that you are not in good form, using heavy weights or both. Concentrate on squeezing the biceps hard at the top of the movement. Don't use heavy weights...and let your biceps do all the work. Do not cheat by using any other muscle to lift the weights, including using the momentum of the weight by swinging up. If possible, try to do these slowly and in a controlled manner. You'll see (and feel) a huge difference.

I found that when I first started out I didn't have the strength to do most exercises with proper form. (Even at really light weights with some) Keeping focus on form as Robert said is the most important part.

cheers guy's i think what i did wrong was that the weight used i was able to lift but when i was lowering the weight back down there was no resistance from the biecp so i suppose u could say i was only half doing the exercise by using a lower weight a had a more fluent movement with less strain on the forearm

by the way i have just started lifting weights because of my age
