How do I determine how much weight to put on between sets when working out to loose weight? The number of reps per set lowers but what about the amount of weight?

Welcome to FreeTrainers! Don't forget to fill out your profile!!!

Increase the amount of weight. Keep the weight heavy enough so you struggle a bit on the last couple reps per set.

So true JBennet. Your goal is to be able to lift no more then one of your sheduled reps, this is how you know you are on target (target 8 reps...weight must equal you not being able to do more then 9). Also I would suggest signing up for a program here at ft. They are great programs. This would help you track your progress and get a good routine down.
Good Luck
