ok, I'm willing to bet these questions have been asked before, and I've been tooling around all aspects of the site tonight, but I have a few questions.
I'm really out of shape and overweight. Like I said in my fitness goals, I'm hoping to eventually lose about 80 lbs. I filled out the fitness profile and got a set of workouts and stuff, but it didn't really incorporate cardio at all - its all weight training. I don't have a problem doing that, but I'm just thinking...everything I was taught in gym class and health throughout years of school led me to believe that the best, most efficient way to lose weight was to do cardio. And - this is essentially what everyone is telling me, though admittedly they're not any kind of expert.
all I want is to get back into shape, like I was in high school. now I know there's a lot of dedication and hard work involved, but what is the quickest or best way to drop weight? I don't have access to a gym, but I do have a treadmill and some freeweights, though not much.
so far what I've been doing is walking on the treadmill...I haven't begun messing with the weights. I guess I'm just looking for advice on how to tackle this...do I do cardio or just weight training? if i DO do cardio, when, how often, how strenuous? thanks a lot for reading this, and if all theses questions are answered already, please just point me in the right direction, with my apologies. thanks!
