So - last night I woke up at 1:30 in the morning (guess it wasn't really last night anymore, huh?) and couldn't fall back asleep for a while because my brain was whirring along...I came up with the thought that we could expand this challenge beyond just working out and eating - why not include things that would create an even bigger impact on the world around us?
So my first "Extra" assignement for you all is to pick someone you know ( an acquaintance, a family member, a neighbor, a co-worker) and give them the gentle nudge they need to get them started towards a healthier lifestyle - don't be demanding or pushy, be subtle...ask them to go for a walk with you, ask them to workout with you, anything that will positively impact their health.
So many people are waiting at the edge of the decision but are afraid to take the first step (or more) on their own, I am sure we all know someone like that... "I would get fit/healthy/lose weight if only I..." Help them get past their IFs, Ands or Buts and get started!
Repeat back here as to what action you took and how it proceeded:big_smile:

Cool. I did this last week with a friend of mine who used to workout every morning, but has fallen off the beaten track. She is slowly getting back into it - getting up 3 days per week to workout before work and she plans to check this site out as well.
Than last night, I stopped at a friends to lend her a dress for a wedding. She didn't fit into it, and she was talking about not having any energy etc. and needing to lose some inches. So, once again I told her about this site and what this challenge has done for me (I am so thrilled with my energy levels and the quality sleep that I am getting)
I think this one will require more follow up on my part.

does tieing up your husband and dragging him being your truck at a speed just fast enough that he wont fall count?

This is a great idea, my husband complains constantly about his clothes being to tight and wanting to eat healthier but when I cook him dinner he orders pizza! Yesterday I finally convinced him to come play soccer with me and then I played really bad so he had to run a lot hehe... it ended up being a lot of fun, although now my house is filled with turf :((when did they stop making fields out of grass?)

Have been trying to get my other half to eat healthier for years! He used to be really fit when I met him and I know he feels really down about it. He is taking small steps like walking more, but that's as far as it goes and when the football is on the beers are in!
Any ideas for gentle persuasion?
