I can only exercise later on in the evening (after dinner), so how long should I wait after dinner before doing cardio and lifting?

It all depends on the content of your meal. If it's around 100 or cal. by 45 min. your body have digest that and stored it for energy. If it's something heavy and higher cal. You'll have problem in recruiting the muscle you are working on that day. If its heavy and large cal, your body will be busy trying to consumed those cal and food to stored for energy vice focusing on the muscle to recruit. Limit your meal to easy absorbsion so it will be digest and stored for energy within that 45 to an hour.
