Ok i have been working on the treadmill for a little while now. i noticing that it mainly works my lower portion of my body...I was hoping that it would start and help me reduce my upper body fat aswell. but not sureif i am noticing any progress..
I have seen a BIG change in toning on my lower body. i understand that the body will work on the places that have less body fat then move on. is this true.. can i still stay at the treadmill i use it about 45 minutes 7 to 10 incline speed almost to running but i dont run...
Should i be like using a differant machine for cardio for helping remove the upper portion of my body fat.. i know diet a big thing. thats not the problem. its i want to use the right machines to remove the right targeted areas. i know cross trainer the ski machine works some of the upper body but i dont really care much for that machine.. any help would be greatly appreciated

you cant spot reduce fat on specific parts of your body, it will not " move " on as you asked. You might think it is because you may have more fat in one area than another and you can see the fat loss, but you are still losing it in other areas as well....
If i was you, id research HIIT cardio, or high intensity interval training, that would cut your cardio regiment down to like 15 minutes and be alot better as far as weight loss/fat burning, it also tricks your bodies metabolism into staying active for up to 24 hours after workout, than you could set up a chest/back/arms/shoulders routine with free weights or hammer machines, giving you that " Toneness " you are looking for.....:dumbbell:

Your 'loss' you see in your lower body is probably simply coincidence or or what you are 'percieving'. Other than this, the other scenario is this is in fact due to your gaining some muscle in your lower body, as this would be especially true if you have before this been a sedentary person......as then any 'effort' you put forth will yield positive results (in this case muscle where there was none before).
Be aware this is not normally the case except in the very beginning, as your body responds initially to a new 'exertion' being placed on it. This will quickly cease.
Now, you cannot spot reduce post the initial response I mentioned above, the only way to lose fat from here on out is by a caloric restriction. 'Targeting' an area will not work, other than if you burn enough calories in that target to yield a caloric reduction. And then the fat will come off wherever it wants to, not necessarily and in many cases where you are wanting it to.
This is why many folks quit working out in any manner, as they are looking for a fat loss in one typical area, and do not see it happening. Again, at the risk of repeating myself, this area where you view and mainly want the fat loss may be the last area your body allows fat loss. Hope this makes sense, but am putting out a reality check here.
