It depends on how much you weigh. When you're doing a push up, you're pushing up the weight of the upper part of your body, and a little weight from your legs. So, it's proprtional to your weight.
Do you have a bench at home? If you're going to work out there, it might be nice to get one. I had one and put it into the garage, and it was nice to seclude myself and listen to my boom box while I worked out. That was in secondary school though, and I'm much older now...
For bodyweight exercises it's more the number of movements you do and/or the speed of the movements rather than the weight, as long as your're making progress and increasing the numbers over time, you're all set.
