So I've been out of the gym for about 3 years and it definately shows. I am 27 and was always athletic growing up but for the past few years, my muscle has tunred to flab and Im sick of not being in shape anymore. I'm not excessively overweight but I do do drink beer often and dont have a strict diet at all so the belly has suffered and it shows. The wife and I are getting back into the gym this week and I want to know what I can do on top of my exersize program to help loose the belly. I'm not trying to get all ripped up like i was in H.S., I just want to bulk up a little and be in shape again, w/out the gut.
You said it, first off you need to fix your diet. Nothing wrong with the beer for your goals, but you know it doesn't help. Either way you will need to clean up your diet.
Exercise all you want but without proper nutrition you won't get to your desired results as quickly as you would like.
