Define big first... If you just mean a barrell chest where you walk around with your arms splayed out to either side and your palms facing back like a caveman because there's more muscle there than anywhere else, just bench heavier than you should once a week for a few months and you'll see a difference... If you want to do it right, follow what the previous poster said, it'll look more impressive that way.

Hey guys. I'm 14 and I want to get a big chest. I'm 5'9 1/2, and weigh 170lbs. (Big, i know)
Does anyone have any tips for me?:big_smile:

Dylan you need to remember that you wont see results right away. Like KA said you have to train your entire body. I know right where you stand because i am 5'9 and 175. The chest is my major problem. Do dumbell flys as well as machine flys. Follow your work out and you will see results.

slow down tiger. i wouldn't jump into 'heavy lifting' just yet. Just focus on getting fit and healthy....theres plenty of time later on to get 'big'.

lmao wrestler...no no problems...you know you secretly do flyes during your chest workouts....then post some nosense about ME bench, or some Weighted Dips, or god forbid speed bench, pause bench, or incline bench....

It's not just the flyes that's the problem. I mean... you're doing a bad exercise... and then another, redundantly similar, bad exercise.

And you're the one that's all hole grail on the dips. "oh, i'm menace, i like to do dips with 100+lbs... na na na na nah"

yea, like that'll get you anywhere. it's not how much weight you lift, but what NO2 supplement you take.

I think at 14 you shouldn't be lifting heavy yet as it will cause growth problems. Work on improving you cardio and use lighter weights so when you can lift heavy your ready for it.
