I need some advise. I am 22 years old and weigh 183 lbs. Before attending college I was extremely active in sports and never weighed more than 165. In the four years that I have been in school i have put on about 25 lbs. My father had a heart attack earlier this month and it has scared me into getting back into shape. Does anyone have any advise as to things i should be doing to add to the workout that this sight has designed for me? (i.e running of days off etc.) Any nutritional advice would be great too. THANKS!!
there are tons of posts on nutrition in the nutrition forum - read up and then ask specific questions.
Running or playing a sport you enjoy on your days off of lifting would be a great way to condition your heart and burn extra calories. Just be sure to ease into any cardio routine so your heart can build fitness instead of being fatigued.
