Muscle milk would be okay before bed, or you could just have a cup of lowfat cottage chese and some walnuts.
Post-workout you want a fast absorbing protein like whey, and more recently there has been some reserach showing that a mix of faster and slower is even more beneficial, so whey and casein. For the average person, a glass of milk will provide both. Some people even advoacte chocolate milk as being the perfect post-workout drink - it has fast sugars, whey and casein.
