As the title says, I had my first PT session on wednesday.
We did circuit training - apparently she likes to do that for her first session so she can work out what people can do etc.
So it was a mix of cardio & strength, we did an awful lot, I couldnt name them all for you, but it was good!
I think you'd say it was hiit cardio we were doing, intervals between the muscle stuff (the technical term escapes me!) of short high bursts: ie- jacks, step ups, running etc.
Ive also learnt that I can keep a hula hoop up! All these years & all I had to do was go back&foward instead of round&round!
Also that ski sits are very much harder than they look.
I didnt talk to her about nutrition or working out a routine without her, I was busy talking to her about her job/where she trained certified etc to help me out with it! But I will do.
She did push me fairly hard, so Im pleased :)
I want my second one now so I can ask more questions&see what shes got planned for me!
I need to ask her about my routine when Im not with her also, Im a bit lost at the moment!
I did body combat today (I love body combat!) Im gonna do my weight rountine tomorrow I think, with some cardio probably.
My routine at the moment is looking like:
Wednesday-PT
Thursday-Cardio (itll probably be combat)
Friday-Cardio&Weights
Saturday-Cardio of some description
Sunday-Weights, not much cardio
Monday-Not too sure yet, im weighing up body balance and body attack.
Tuesday-Spinning&Body Pump (I love how sweaty and worked out I feel after both of them! I know I could prob stand to cut one!)
So thats what happening so far!
Any thoughts/opinions/tidbits of wisdom/quotes of the day?!

I think the most useful thing about a personal trainer is that they can perfect your form. I had an excellent trainer who was anal about form and I am so glad I went thru that process. i know do my own programs and to this day, I have people (usually guys) come up at the end of my workouts and comment on the fact that I look like I know what I'm doing. Pre-trainer, I did NOT know what I was doing!! It's one thing to have a great program, like what we have here on FT, it's another to be able to implement it properly. Make sure you have good form!!
