When creatine pulls water into the muscle, I have read it adds 5-10 pounds of weight. Creatine seems to be discussed nowadays as something to be used during cutting diets to maintain muscle. My question, does this water weight make your muscles look bigger, or does it make you look bloated? Or is it not even noticible?

I think you need to do a lot more research on the subject. Search on this site and read the previous posts.

I have read previous posts, but haven't found the answer to this question. I know the creatine hydrates the muscle, I'm just wondering about the water weight from an aesthetic sense... also, I keep reading contradictory posts about whether it should be taken on non-lifting days. What you think?

ok heres how it works. the creatine does pull water into your muscle cells. it also creates higher levels of creatine in these cells. the combination of these two help you lift more and therefore gain more lean muscle mass. the water weight however does make you look a little bloated in the sense that you can lose a little definition. the taking on non lifting days should be left up to the specific product you take. for example the muscletech creakic should be taken on non lifting days because thats what the directions say. most creatine supplements will tell you to take on non training days just in smaller doses. hope that helped.
