Just because your at a gym for a long time doesn't mean anything. Do your workout at an up tempo pace. I spend about an hour to an hour and a half per visit. Cut out the chit chat, gawking in the mirror and limit your "rest" to no more than 60 seconds in between sets and exercises.

Bull is right. There is a group of 4 guys that are at my gym every Saturday. They are there long before I get there, and are there long after I leave most times. I usually just do my own thing and ignore them. But, one particular Saturday I paid attention, thinking like you cj that I was a slacker for going in and out so quickly! After my observation, I would say that I did more weight training in my short 1.5 hour trip than they did the whole time they were there. They were taking very long breaks between each set, and they were busy chatting about female anatomy for quite a while, and their own male anatomy, and other inappropriate topics most of the time. I realize now why I usually tune them out! ha ha.
If you are seeing results, and are feeling good with what you are doing, don't sweat it (no pun intended).

I think it depends on what their goals are. What kind of shape are they in? Guys like Arnie and Dave Draper spent hours a day in the gym. I spend an hour or so. But I don't plan on being Mr. Universe.
