According to what I've just read, Linda Hamilton (who plays Sarah Connor in Terminator 2) followed this plan and it took her 6 months to get her muscle look:

Diet: cereal with skimmed milk, chicken breasts, dry salad

workout: 3 hrs a day, 6 days a week inc. running, swimming, other cardio, free-weights, lunges

I intend to replicate this as best I can (cos there's not much more detail about it than that out there) andsee what happens.

For the record: I'm 23 (24 in 2 weeks - happy birthday to me), weigh 140 pounds, I'm 5 foot exactly. I have free weights, an exercise ball, trainers and a swimming costume. I currently run, oh, once in a blue moon, call it fortnightly when I can be arsed and the same goes for the weights. Something I think that counts massively in my favour: I've always been into one sport or another so I have loads of random knowledge about training and I have loads and loads of stamina. I can not train for 6 months, do absolutely nothing and then run over two miles with very little difficulty. Counting against me - I am weak willed and a vegetarian. I also like a drink.

Watch this space guys!

That is a lot of time working out, but if you've got the time and incentive, go for it! Can't wait to see how it works!

Hey Kalanchoe, was reading your post when I suddenly realised you from the UK. The clue...
"when I can be arsed"
Could only be from this side of the pond!

Good luck with the workout, be interesting to see how it goes.

What does "when I can be arsed" mean? I'm on the other side of the pond...

I could never be a weak-willed vegetarian. :)

stevehwms: "when I can be arsed" means "when I can be bothered"! Can be used in many different ways - I can't be arsed, You're an arse, she's being arsie, etc. 'Tis quite a versatile word!

Ravenbeauty: I'm touched that you remember me! That's so cool - I haven't been on here in so long! Everything is cool with, me, how're things with you?

Jonshez: ey up duck! Someone has to fly the flag for Blighty!

"Ey up duck", you're either aware of my northern status or you're a northerner yourself!
Steve, it's the sort of thing that only another Limey would recognise as an instant piece of englishness.
