Hi Everyone,
I'm needing some help. I'm 24, weigh 144lbs 5'4". I started working out at the gym 2 1/2 months ago, doing 40 mins of cardio and 20 mins of weight training 6 days a week. I'm sticking to 1200 per day, so with exercise, sometimes I'm eating 500 with the burnoff. However, on the weekends, I dont' eat as well as I should, and still struggle with the occasional "emotional Binge" I think I may have hit a plateau, and I'm not sure how to break out of it. I only lost 1lb last month and I'm very frustrated! I feel like giving up.......but I'm down from 157 from the beginning of March. Does anyone have any suggestions? For the most part, I eat healthy, a couple glasses of wine on the weekend. I jog at intervals, and try to up my resistance, but I feel like I should of seen ALOT more results by now? Any comments are appreciated~ Thank you very much!

You aren't eating enough daily to allow your body to function.

How many calories should I be eating? 1400?

That would be a good start - you could gradually increase it to 1700 and see how your body responds - you need fuel for your activities and to create a slight deficit, not a radical one.

Buffy.... I am 67 in and weight 135. I currently eat between 1750-1850 a day. I had to grad move up to there because my body thought it was starving at the lesser cals and was holding onto the fat. Asimmer is right about moving those cals up so your body is not afraid to get rid of the excess.

I saw a book titled "Sex for Dummies" and wondered why
anyone would teach dumb people how to reproduce?
