question about pushups

just wondering about doing pushups or pullups on off days while muscles are repairing would this be bad for them?

example heavy chest day monday can i do some pushups tuesday, wednesday and thursday then i do chest again on friday.

What else are you doing? I hope your training the rest of your body?

But yes and no....Yes, active recovery is good...it can help reduce soreness...and speed up recovery.

No....doing too much can hinder repair work.


There's a balance you have to find...when somthing is active recovery...vs becoming a workout. 3-4 sets of 10 prolly won't kill you...or hinder your goals...however I dont' think you need to keep doing them the whole week.

Are you gonna do body weight squats after leg days as well?

yes i do legs and back, and arms and shoulders on different days but the thing is i just like to do some pushups and pullups to start my day before work just a little wake me up.
