I know that whole wheat bread is a good source of fiber. But is it ok to eat other type of bread and if so what kind?

it is fine to eat whole wheat or whole grain bread, as long as you fit it into your daily caloric needs. Whole wheat bread is a good source of fiber and nutrients, just be sure to read the ingredients - some breads sound healthy but really aren't the ingredients should be 100% whole wheat flour, and other natural ingredients. Stay away from corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, etc.

Rye bread is a good option. Not a fan of 'whole wheat'. Make sure you read the label on these whole wheat advertised breads. If the first ingredient begins with 'enriched' or bleached, etc. put it back on the shelf.
