I started a new job a few months ago and have a gym in my office. I was aways muscle training at least 6 days a week at night 1-2 hrs after dinner. I changed my routine to workout in the am and got very sick. This is the situation...I wake up and drive about 45 minutes to work, get there have a 45 minute workout, shower and shave for about 30 minutes then have a post-workout shake. About 2hrs later I eat a normal breakfast. After about a month I relaized I'm starving myself in the am by doing this. I don't have too much time to get ready to get in and get a workout in before work. Should I make the time to eat some high carb high protein breakfast before I leave? Or is there some other method that someone can recommend to save me as much time as possible.

On Mondays, I work out in the am. Before I leave the house, I eat a 1 egg/5egg whites omelet along with 1/2 cup of oatmeal. I put the omelet in the pan on medium heat and start to get other things ready to go to work. I usually mix my eggs up at night to save time.

Or have a meal replacement shake - either homemade with oats, protein powder, berries and milk, or ready-to-drink from a pouch or container.
