when calculating the caloric intake for a person.. only the weight of a person was asked in the personal profile.. but doesnt height have to do with it also??. doesn't height affect the results in regards to being overweight or underweight?

Yes, height is taken into account. A person 6' for instance and weighing 160 looks much different than a person 5'6" and 160.

The weight calculator isn't used to determine whether or not you are over/under weight. It just generates calories required to maintain that weight and you increase or reduce calories as needed. Be aware though that the calculator has historically been way on the high side.
