I've been reading alot about HIIT, and i agree its what i do... i usually run for about 30 minutes but NEVER at a steady pace... i find that changing the pace is a great part of working out, its actually what got me stuck to a routine! kuz its alot of mind over body, ill start at 8km/h then go up to 10, drop to 7 rise to 12 go to 15 and drop to 5 for a walk and then repeat with more of a shuffle... and i like seeing the calorie meter going up, good way to challenge your self... But if like me running in the same spot for half an hour makes you want to put a gun to ur head, i suggest free running... no idea what that is? have you seen the nike commercials with a bunch of people running up walls, jumping over cars and such? thats free running, and if u can run at a steady pace at 8km/h i suggest you try to pick it up... the whole idea in it is that NOTHING stands in ur way! its HIIT on steroids! i climb, jump, spin, duck, pirouette maybe even jump from building to building (yet im still trying to grow the balls to do this).. oh yeah and dont go during rush hour either, too many people will hinder ur workouts. dont be surprised if u can do it more than 5 minutes... i hope u enjoy this form of cardio as much as i do.
