I Just switched from working out in my garage (a year or so) to going to the gym so I reset my profile back to beginner to allow time to adjust to machines and such I have never used. Should I switch back after my first 8 week rotation or should I give it more time? It seems like the reps are higher for the beginner. You offer great advice so I am looking foreword to getting some. Thank You in advance

You are no longer a beginner if you have been working out as long as you state. Doesn't matter 'where' you have been working out, your body is trained.

Thanks bb1fit, that is kind of what I was thinking, but I wanted to make the transition to the gym in such a way as to avoid injury. I have not had a problem with injury and don't want to start. I will likely finish out the week and reset my profile to begin a new rotation next week. Again Thank You !

Ironically, most of us when we start have to train to be able to 'train' if that makes sense. Our bodies are normally so out of shape, a training session with even an intermediate level trainee would result in way overtraining and some pain to say the least.

I do realize that to be true as I have taken some time off before and had to work back to a place to be able to train again. More than that I have learned over the past couple of years that the resources here at F.T. are second to none. I cant say how much help you all have been and how much I appreciate it. I am amazed at how much I have learned and how much I still dont know. It has truly changed my life. I used to be just shy of 300lbs and very sedintary. Now I excercise 5 days a week and have lost 50 lbs or so. I look foreword to the progress ahead. It has been a life change ane a long road but the rewards are worth every second of the journey. Free Trainers is my standard answer when people say Wow, you are looking good, what are you doing. It is my way of saying thanks to all of you!
