I was on the low carb diet and I lost a lot of weight. The problem is that it is not healthy to eat such a small amount of carbs longterm and when you get off the diet watch out....you can actually gain more than you lost. I am trying to lose those extra inches in my waiste and thighs. I try to watch the sugar and fats, I have added more lean protein and I exercise. Guess what....IT IS WORKING. I am losing those inches and toning up. My hubby loves the new me. Look at the grocery list of foods reccomended by ft and you will get an idea of how your diet should look. It has a list of the foods you should be eating even the foods with carbs that are healthier to eat. Forget about the shortcuts to losing weight and make a lifestyle change. Good Luck!

It depends on which carbs you cut out - the white bread & junk food really shouldn't come anywhere near you anyways. But carbs includes veggies & those you do need. If you read the Atkins book then you would see that even he pushes the veggies & has you build back up with whole grains for your breads(if you work out enough for your body to handle that many)
