About a year ago I had an awsome body. Men looked at me all the time and I never had a dull moment in my dating life. But all the sudden my metabolisim slowed waaaaay down and I gained 50 lbs in an instant. Because of this I'm constantly depressed and I hate going to try on clothes at the mall or at a department store. I'm looking into buying my own treadmill and watching what I eat. Once my metabolisim slows down like it did is that perminant or is there a way to reverse it naturally? I just want to be happy again.

Please fill out your profile so we know something about you. Unless there is something medically wrong with you I am sure you did not gain 50lbs in a year because your metabolism slowed down. I think you need to take a serious look at what you eat and drink. If you are going to be working out at home you will also need to buy some weights to go along with that treadmill.

I'm confused about the profile part. I've filled it out about a hundred times and nothing lol  The odd thing is that I do watch what I eat I always have. And then the next thing I know I had to buy a whole new wardrobe. I just dont get it.

I agree with mutt...if you are truely careful about what you eat...this is not a metabolism issue.

You're only 20?I think it would be wise for you to go see a dr allie...I'm sure its nothing serious...but that kind of unexplained weight gain is something for a dr. to take a look at.

OK....but you did not gain weight because your metabolism slowed down....there is a medical reason if you are truely watching what you eat.If your dr didn't mention anything about a sudden 50 lb weight gain being an issue....think about a new doc...just go to the Dr!!

It may look fantastic. My wife look fantastic but could not lose a lb till she went on certain drugs used for that condition. Go see them or a regular doc and get checked out.

No need to be freaked out....it's probably nothing...but it is medically related...you simply will not gain that amount of weight ...if you are eating like you say...clean....just because. No need to freak...just be sensible.
