Gym workout and running, protein qstion?

Yes it will. Running is a type of endurance training which trains a different muscle fiber than lifting (anaerobic training). If you are trying to build on your muscle tissue, you don't have to eliminate running, but cut it back and do it after your resistance training.

My daily workout and protein intake consists of the following:

6am-7am weight workout, done using a 5day split i.e
Monday - Chest, Back After 5pm 5-7km run
Tuesday - Arms, Shoulders After 5pm 5-7km run
Wednesday - Chest, Back
Etc
I rarely train legs at gym,which i know is bad.
I eat well, take about 3 protein shakes a day, 1 between meals meeting my daily protein requirement for muscle mass building.
Question is' will the running have a detriment on my muscle gains even though i'm getting all the protein i need, should i up the protein intake because im running?
One thing the running is doing is giving me nice ab definition, which is a plus.
