Hi everyone, I have a question regarding benzodiazepines, specifically Klonopin.(Generic-Clonazepam)Hope I'm posting in the right spot...
I have been taking 1-2 mg a day for months now(it's been more recently because I've developed a tolerance)for anxiety. I've noticed that my metabolism isn't what it used to be. I gained 20-25 lbs in 1-2 months from another medication and have had a hell of a time getting back to where I used to be after discontinuing it. I've gone down to 150 and even with eating less calories, I haven't budged below that. This is the heaviest I've been in my life. :(
Believe it or not, I haven't been able to find anything online to support that Benzos, specifically Klonopin, slow down a person's metabolism. I thought maybe I'd get a clearer answer here. Much TIA.
Hey Katie...I'm not sure...if you don't get a post here try the nutrition forum...bb1 hangs out in there and he seems to know alot about that stuff!Good luck!
