I have started to gain weight since last year. I was an active person until i gained weight. Now i don't feel like exercising all the time, and i can't run for a long time now, and i want to be fit for school. Please~ DOes anyone have great exercises or tips targetting abs and thighs?

Think about how you gained weight. Now, reverse that. Exercise "targeting" will not work without correcting the cause of your gaining weight in the first place.

You have to start small. I was in your place 6 months ago. I couldn't run a mile and I weighed in at 156 on my 5'3 frame. Now I've dropped 15 pounds, gained muscle, and can easily run 6-8 miles. Don't try to go all out at first or you'll get frustrated. Start by doing at least 20 minutes of easy cardio and some strength training. I agree that you can't spot reduce, so find strength exercise that work all your muscle groups (legs, arms, abs). Some people alternate groups, some target more than one group at a time ( I like to do both). My abs are my biggest trouble spot and have always been because of my body type, so I can't give you a lot of advice there. I know boxing is a great core workout. One easy tip is to watch your posture. In the thigh area-LUNGES!!!!!! There are a zillion different kinds. One of my favs is flamingo lunges with an 8lb. medicine ball. Hope this helps and sorry if it posts twice-I have no idea why it is doing that!!
