I have considered this Hoodia stuff everyone is raving about lately, but I have read that you have to drink a lot of water, diet, and exercise with it and you will lose about 10 pounds a month. Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't proper diet and exercise with a reasonable water intake produce the same results? What is it that hoodia is supposed to do? Does it help you keep the weight off or something like that?

You are correct. If you have a healthy diet and exercise then you should be able to lose approx 1-2 per week. As for the product you mentioned, someone else will have to answer that

It seems to be noted as an appetite suppressant. My wife tried it, and it really did nothing. She found that for it to be effective at all, she had to double the bottle doseage.
But you are right, diet and exercise is the key and the overall answer. Lifetlyle changes, not a pill in a bottle will result in long term change in body composition.

hoodia is often underdosaged...with 150-300mg...the proper dosage is around 1 g....this is why it's often ineffective....dont buy namebrands...search the net for cheaper generic brands with high amount of hoodia....

My mother just bought the Hoodia. SHe took it yesterday, and said that the way she thought the Hoodia worked was that it made her feel like she was going to be sick. I guess that would be an appetite suppressant for me!!lol
