If your 1RM is 165, try doing 140 for 4 sets of 5-8 reps. Does your workout consist of anything else?

Before doing anything...stop...sit down and think about what exactly you're trying to accomplish...what are your goals?

The biggest mistake young lifters make is that they train only showy muscles or do only certain lifts like bench/curls...as well as overtrain these muscles by doing them way too much....as you do 3 times a week....

My suggestion is to learn to LOVE squats, deadlifts, chin ups, dips, military presses.....you can rest assured that you'll never be asked about your deadlift...but it will give your strength for every other lift...and make you strong like a bull...

My guess is you'll make good gains at this point almost no matter what you'll try...as long as you vary it...

Yea, I'd add some curls in there. And you should do that 4 times a week, not just 3 times a week, every week.

Whenever someone asks what I "lift", I give them my deadlift max. Because that is what I consider a lift.

I could just start telling them a 750lb tire. I dunno, I like just saying 405 and walking away, making them wish they had specified.
