Simple Stretching question

What do you guys suggest for stretching while working out? I usaully stretch before and inbetween almost every set.

That sounds perfect as long as you warm up before stretching and stretch the correct target muscle.:)

A lot of us don't do any stretching at all. Just start out with a relatively light warmup set.

Do your static stretching at the end of your workout only. Do a light general warm up prior to the strength training and be sure to execute the strength training exercises through a full range of motion. Always use do at least 2-3 warm up sets for each and every exercise with a gradual progression of weight with each subsequent set. Do not sacrifice range of motion for sake of being able to use extra resisatnce on an exercise.

To clarify, some very light dynamic stretching between sets is OK, but not static stretching.

I don't have athletes do static stretching except post workout, however if flexibility is an issue in a non-athlete, ie aesthetically minded client, then stretching in between sets may be mandated.

However, I still am not likely to use static stretching. I am more likely to do mobility drills or dynamic stretching.
