so i FINALLY got a gym membership (ive been on here trying to find other ways but...i think i just need to run). well im dumb and i didnt eat before i went. i came home afterwards and got REALLY sick...which never happens. what is the best thing to eat before you go? how long should i wait?

Here are two older threads that might help or give you some ideas. I think other general rules are not to stuff yourself obviously, just eat a light meal no less than 30 mins before if you are hungry before your workout.

Have a slow burning carb like some oats along with a good protein source right before and have a meal after you return home. Go to the specific diet and nutrition forum and read and eat from the "grocery list for healthy eating".

Actually, one of those two links I posted takes her directly to the grocery list... but yeah, scan the whole diet and nutrition forum also. It's got good tips!

Yeah, performance will be impaired greatly if blood glucose levels are not normal or even up a bit. Blood sugars probably took a huge dive.
