i'm out on the road the majority of the year, so my workout is completely dependent upon what the hotel i'm staying at has as far as excercise equipment. the one i'm at now (and for the next 3 months) doesn't have any free weights or machines that can workout the legs.

so my question is, what non-weight/machine excercises can i do to replace excercises like squats, leg extensions, calf raises, etc? any help would be appreciated.

To anyone in your position, I always recommend purchasing Pavel Tsatsouline's "Naked Warrior". While I am not a member of his fan club, it is one of the best investments someone in your position could make.
You will find a variety of options in that book. Whats more, they will be EFFECTIVE options.

Like Mike mentioned in a post similar to this, you can also do a search on motels in the area you'll be staying and try to find ones that have some kind of deal worked out with the local gym, ymca, etc.
