I need someone to define the term "small meal". People say eat five small meals/day but in my mind a small meal = 1 apple. Since I dont think this is what they have in mind, can someone tell me what a small meal is, how many calories, an example..etc..That'd be great. I'm trying to increase my caloric intake from 800/day to 1500/day since someone told me that with this I will lose weight quicker, I need to restart my metabolism because from the words of others it's at a dead stop. So I need some info. thanks!

Blaze, take a few minutes and read thru the "diet thread" thread in the specific diet and nutrition forum. Many of the threads in that forum would be very beneficial for you to read. Just for examples sake, what is meant by smaller meals is, eat 5 small meals a day equally portioned out, 1500 cal. divided by 5 equals 5 meals at 300 cal. each. That's just an example. Read up and do plenty of searches on things like caloric intake, protein intake, good carbs, bad carbs, good fats, bad fats, etc. The quickest way for you to get where you want to go is knowledge. It's all here, just dig it up. Diet is one thing that has been gone into in great detail.

Think about it this way. I would say with your level of activity, you would do well eating a clean 2000 calories a day. I also think that you should have 6 meals a day. Therefor, each one of your meals has to be at least 300 calories.
Glad you are taking our advice, where others would stubbernly stick to their self destructive ways.
