Does anyone know of any supplements for muscle gain that a diabetic can take that aren't harmful. All I know is that I can't take creatine(at least that is what a doctor said no reason why).

Can't take creatine? Why? Just don't get it laced with sugars and you will be fine.

I have a friend of mine who's doctor said the same thing. I told him to ask the doctor why and all the doctor said was that it's not compatible. ??? Not compatible to what? Makes you wonder.

So the doctor said no, didn't give you a reason, and your didnt think to ask?
Creatine is a naturally occuring amino acid. It's not like its created in some drug lab.

Creatine is produced in the liver daily by the combination of 3 amino acids, arginine, glycine and methionine . As we age, this declines.
It is in no way hormonal, etc. So don't know where he is coming from. Many doctors are in the "dark ages" with supplements.
My wife is diabetic. Live with it daily. She bodybuilds, and uses creatine just fine. As I mentioned, stay away from the sugar ladened ones and you should be fine.
