Hello, I am a 29 year old mother of 2, I have no idea what has happend to me over the past year but i have somehow gained 30 pounds, I am 5'10" tall and weigh 160, a normal weight for me is 125-130. I just started working out this week, trying to eat more I guess, I have never been to good at eating 3 square meals a day, but im going to try, as a matter of fact i never eat breakfast, only coffee. anyhow, i was wondering if i might be able to find a few friends here to keep me motivated, as well as helping you stay motiviated. Good luck to everyone trying to get healthy this year!!!

Welcome Tanya!

The best way to drop the weight is to eat 6 times a day. The same amount of food you would have eaten in 3 meals, but spread it out more. Also try to up your protein intake. Those simple steps will rev up your metabolism. Also you should be weight training 3 days a week (get you a program here, there are at home programs). Increased muscle is one of the best ways to increase your metabolism naturally and will help you keep the weight off in the long run. You don't need to be concerned about gaining muscle mass as it's very difficult for females to "bulk" up without the help of extra testosterone.

Good luck and make good use of the fitbuddy search at the bottom to look for questions that have already been answered, if you can't find the answer then let us know.
