Do those weightgainer powders work? I'm thinking about drinking 2 shakes a day along with what im already eating.

If you keep working out seriously while you're putting on the weight, you won't gain as much fat.

There's no point to taking the gainers if you're not working out 100% intensity.....I don't understand what working out half seriously means?....why even bother show up at the gym if u gonna half ass the workouts....might as well get extra sleep...and if u take those shakes while taking it easy then most of it will be fat....which will be a waste of time, money, energy, health, motivation...

Also I don't see much point to taking gainers if you just started to workout consistantly...and I am assuming doing whole body training...yes that means legs also...
I would say save the money and see if you can workout for a whole year consistantly...you'll make good gains without it...focus on eating well....getting enough protein, carbs, fat....those gainer shakes only last 10-15 servings...at 20-30$...they are pretty expensive...
6lb of muscle gains monthly is perhaps possible for your first month or two....maybe not even....no steroid in the world will give you consistant gains like that....very unrealistic expectations....I say if you can gain 1lb of lean muscle every month then you're doing a great job....

just to clarify, the monthly 1lb of lean muscle gains will also reach plateaus after a year or maybe less....it takes a lot of effort to fight through them...and eventually it will be almost impossible.....otherwise people training for decades would be the size of bears...lol

i'm usually up for 18+ hours a day and i dont eat that much at night beucase im so busy with other things (two jobs, lots of work from school, a girlfriend). my days are going to continue being like this for a while and during this time i can't really go work out... so all i can do is try to gain as much weight as i can. the only thing i can think of eating while im doing whatever it is that i'm doing is drinking a weight gainer since it's more convenient than preparing a meal and sitting down to finish it. instead i can just drink the weightgainer as i work. I dont see any purpose in working out right now becuase i know i'll lose more weight seeing how my diet is kind of lacking at the end of the day.

Don't gain weight...it will be fat....
This was similar advice one guy asked on another forum where steroid use is common:
'I take X and Y steroids and eat like a horse.....but I got fatter with no significant muscle gains....what could be the reason?'
Another member asked what he's doing in the weight room...
to which the guy replied
'I didn't know I was supposed to lift weights'
So if you're not training then focus on eating well but don't try to gain weight during this time...it will be a waste of time...and everything else I said...

wow.
It never ceases to amaze me how people always seem to think that steriods build muscle. I am not pro-anabolics by any means, but even with steroids, hard work builds muscle.

I have seen some of the most unfit people taking steroids...it always boggles my mind when I see them train(horrible programs if any...some use mostly machines, some lift barely anything....always made me wonder wtf they were thinking)...some of them even approached me and asked the types of steroids I was taking because they don't understand the true potential of steroids(combined with correct nutrition, lifting, stacking, sleep, etc.....and if you ever see some big bodybuilders you can tell right away who's doing what)....I tell them I don't take steroids....but rather than ask me for advice about what they might/should do differently....they just walk away thinking I am prolly bsing them...o well..
