Ok I hear so many different things on here and other sites. My goal is to drop 50 lbs and build muscle. I don't want to just get big but would like to be cut/tone as well, like the guy on that infomercial at night with the abs and total body workout. So my question is, what would be better to do circuit training on MWFS and spinning or Hiit on my off days T and TH or do the FT, increase muscle mass on MWFS and Hiit on my off days?
Also after either weight training day should I even bother with the eliptical for 15 20min? Should I just drink my protain shake on my way home and call it a good work out? I would really appreciate the help since when I make it to the gym I'm so confussed I'm not sure what to do and I kinda just do whatever. I know its going to take some time to lose the weight but not knowing what to do is making it worse.
One last question :) I know that I'm not nearly getting enough Calories in through out the day to build the muscle and lose the fat anyone have any suggestions on a good way to keep it up. I find myself looking at foods and saying damn 310 cal I shouldn't eat that. lol I know its stupid but I know I'm hurting my goals in the long run.

Are you just starting to work out? If so, stick with the FT plan to see how things go. You can always adjust from there.
As for spinning or HIIT, do those on off weight days or at least six to eight hours separate from the weights.
As for food maintenance, well, tough subject for me too. Grab the grocery list from the diet section. That will help tons. Eat five or six small meals a day to keep your metabolism up.
Not sure if that helps or answered any of your questions... if not, drop a note!

Thanks Tim for the info. It does help a lot. So many people have different ways to work out I guess I just need to stick to one and just do it. I'm still kinda new to working out but not like I just started yesterday. Thanks again for the input.
