Talk with them. Try and convince them to buy healthier foods. If they wont listen, theres always hunger strikes lol

surround yourself with healthier foods. if they only like to eat the bad stuff then they wont eat the good stuff! just have little things in your room so that when you get a cravign you can have something. good luck

I personally find myself drifting off proper diet when the stuff isn't readily available. If it means I'll have to wait to minutes to defrost a chicken breast, flatten it, and cook it consuming a total of 20-25 minutes I'm much more prone to just nuking a hot dog or something.

Keep good food readily available at all times, and just suck it up and don't eat the fatty foods when you craze them. The first week or two when beginning weight loss sucks, anyone that says otherwise is in denial as your breaking your body of essentially addictions you've built up over the years. Breaking any addiction really pisses of the body, at least for a while, then it forgets such things ever existed.

I'm in the same situation. today for example, my wife brings home doughnuts and brownies, ouch its tough. I love that stuff. I mean, I'm addicted to that crap. I'm gonna be hard nosed and not let myself have it. As a family with linited means its even harder. I feel like it's a cinspiracy, those things that are bad are cheap, and the good stuff is exspensive. So my only recourse is to eat less and embrace some amount of hunger.

When the family isn't supportive, use it as fuel. You'll prove them all wrong. Sooner or later they'll be like "How did you do it?". You can say "If you'd like I'll help you get healthy too.

I just signed up here and haven't started yet..I agree with collegetry. It is very hard to find foods that are cheep and healthy. I have three kids and a husband that think that bread and gravy are part of every meal. I make my own bread and snacks for our family, but it is hard to take out the bad stuff even then becuase even the flour I purchase to make the stuff with has been processed and bleached How do you find cheep healthy foods unless you want to become a farmer? I don't look good in overalls..lol

LOL I think women look good in overalls. The junk food I can't help you with because if you buy it, it's going to be eaten. If you cook the meals you obviously have a lot of control on what's served (and probably brought into the house). It takes being creative but you'd be surprised how good chili is with turkey breast. I stock up on the big family packs when they're on sale for 99 cents a lb. Dried beans are cheap and make a super stew with whatever spices you like. I know it's hard when the family isn't in the same mode as you but the cook does have the ultimate control. If nothing else, it might be a way to get you out of the kitchen for awhile.
