Hello Everyone,
I'm new to freetrainers.com, and I just completed my profile and got my workout plan. My target areas are my abs, glutes, and thighs, but I want to firm up the rest of my body as well. This week's workout plan has a full day dedicated to chest exercises. About a year ago I had a breast augmentation and went under the muscle. I had some complications where one breast was lower/higher than the other and had 2 revision sugeries as well. I remember my physician saying it is not good to do any chest execises. Does anyone know if this for good or only for the first year? Will doing chest exercises now disfigure/shift my breast?

Not to put you off but I'd think you'd be better off calling the physician who did the procedure.

mike hit that right on the head. Your physician is the only opinion that I would trust on this issue.

I had the same surgery five and a half years ago. Trust me...you DON'T want to work your chest. The pocket that the implant sits in will be reduced in size because of gained muscle and the implant will start to look deformed. A girlfriend of mine used to work her chest, even after her surgeon told her not to, and she regrets it today. It is NOT attractive...and a big waste of the money you spent to achieve the look you wanted.

sounds like a wonderful procedure :) What's the benefits of having the implant under the muscle? The only thing I can think of is to have a more natural look and feel.

I went over the muscle so I could do chest and I have had no problems. I ask my Doc. about what would be best for me because I am a competitive bobybuilder and I would rather train then have boobs. He suggested over just for that reason, my muscles stay in tac and so do my implants.
