You may think about getting one of the many tapes out there. Take your time and look, there are tons of them, some are actually fun to do.

I have one of the many Tae Bo tapes that are out there. I have been using it for 3 weeks straight, and really like it. I find the trick with using tapes and not getting bored(this really only works if it is a long tape or you can't do the whole thing at one time) is to do part of it and when you are done with that part don't take the tape out of the player. Then the next day, you are doing a different section of the tape, not the same one you did the day before. Multiple tapes for different days is good too.

i have a few tapes...tons of taebo...and igot a little bored but i think i was also discouraged because even after months, i wasnt seeing any results, and my back would hurt ALOT. i thought about getting on of those dance based cardio tapes but im afraid i wont see results..even cardio tae bo didnt help me there :(

Make sure you're working on your diet at the same time as getting in your cardio. Use this site to track what you eat, or www.fitday.com is another one to that's good to track your intake.
When you do cardio your body is burning energy. However unless you watch what you eat then you'll be more apt to eat more to make up for what you burnt off in your cardio...thus sabotaging any results. So take a week and track your diet daily, after that week you should know what you can eat and what you should avoid and start seeing results sooner.
Also don't be afraid of weight training. It's great for the body and helps burn fat 24/7.
Good luck to you and Welcome to Freetrainers!

Also make sure you're using a tape measure and a camera to see results...scales aren't always a good indicator of results...especially in the beginning.

Good idea sstump. If you don't want to hit the gym and fight for the weights, try using some light weights or ankle/wrist weights with your exercise for now. :dumbbell:

Keep it simly. When I could'nt get to the gym I would get up early go for a walk/jog for 20-40 min. to get things started. Do 4 sets of push-ups 10-25, then dips and crunches. My ab routine would include knee-up, side crunches and x-over crunches. Then I would do old fashion legs on the floor. I would finish my starting and doing sqauts, legs close and apart and the big finish--lunges. A good stretch and meditation is how I would cool down.
Music that makes me move is a must.
Tell the mind and the body will follow.

thanks guys!
my main goal isnt to lose weight..im 114, 5'2 so i dont have to lose tooooo much. im just not in shape and, im a chick so..of course i have a little pooch on my tummy. why doe working out hurt my back so much? theres nothing wrong with it.
as far as results...i know muscle weighs more than fat so i dont rely on the scale too much. i measured and it just never changed..and my stomach didnt look ne tighter..also, i still run out of breath if i have to run up a few stairs.
i can do weights...we have a whole set of weights..the kind where u can change the weight on the bar. for some reasson, we even have a bench press.
