Years and years of bodyweight excercises. Most of the arms aren't that big, they are extremly well defined......

I disagree with them not being that big. But, if you want to know...
T-nation.com has an article on it. Its called all muscle no iron, or something like that. It is an interview with Coach Sommer of the olympic gymnastic team.
Also, Coach Sommer has a few publications on this topic on dragondoor.com.

Make no mistake, there is no real "secret". These guys are incredibly strong, and it is that strength that builds muscles. So if your looking for an "easy" way to build your biceps, your looking in the wrong place.

Every gymnast i've seen, male anyways is about 180-200lbs.....6' or under.....I was just saying not many gymnasts sport 20in arm measurements. Most are 17 18 or so...the defination makes them look big.

I would like to just chip in that a gymnasts routine would consist of many concentric exercises which we know is great for building size as the muscles are contracting at much graeter rates, this is what gives them such exelent control on the bars, it is as a result of building up the super fast twich fibres. The faster twiching fibers are the biggest of all.
