Here is a breakdown of what I did. I began lifting weights around June 28 of this year. I did machines for a month or so and gained around 3 lbs, very miniscule amount of weight, however I was doing a full body split at around 3 sets a machine and thus not only did I overtrain but I was using inferior machines. I did however make sure that my diet stayed above maintenance and I got plenty of protein. Fast forward a bit, I began the 8 week program here on freetrainers. I eventually loaded up on some Creatine, didn't notice much increase in weight, I guess I wasn't a responder, but I began with freeweights anyways. I took some creatine before the workouts and after and drank some protein with it to help it shuttle it to my muscles fast and stop the catabolism, apparently this worked well because during the first weeks or so I was gaining around 3 lbs a week and it wasn't all fat either. Eventually, the gains tapered off severely, til they quit coming period. I tried to start another 8 week program but it had the same exercises. I quit taking the creatine with the protein shake because it made me urinate A LOT. Not to mention it didn't seem to let me gain any more weight. Now I need your advice as to how to get going again. Diet is great I'm eating enough, and I'm getting 2-3 protein shakes per day, one in the morning, one after workout on those days, and one right before I go to bed. How do I get those big gains to come back?

Like I said in my post, my diet is fine...

I'm thinking about just training for strength for a few weeks... i.e. doing all exercises and doing 4 sets or so really stacking on the weight til I can only do a few reps... hopefully maximize my strength a bit then go back to a body building routine and then maybe those gains will come back... I think those 13 lbs or so I gained were due to my strength increase due to Creatine even though I didn't have any water retention... I might start back on Creatine in a month or so but I need some advice... obviously you'd want to do Deadlifts and Benchs and Squats as heavy as you could to get the most strength etc but how should I construct this workout for strength?
