I was just wondering how much is too much when gaining weight. I eat about 6 meals a day, with 1 or 2 protein shakes after my workout. I have never been able to gain weight until about 2 months ago when I started eating alot more. I have gained about 10-13 pounds in the last 2 1/2 months, but I can still see my six pack. I was just wondering if it is unhealthy to put on this much weight, this fast. Thanks!

You feel fine? Then I wouldn't worry...... You have succeeded in putting on lots of lean muscle mass and you should be proud! Yep the diet is often the key. Good job!!

Well, that is only a pound a week if my math is correct. This is good weight gain. Stay the course, you have done well. When you get to a point where you can't see your abs, and you don't like what you see, then do a couple weeks leaning out, drop one of your after training shakes, add some cardio and get where you like again. Then go back on a gaining diet. Do this, and you will keep those stubborn love handles at bay while still gaining mass.

The only way to get rid of that fat is to do cardio excercise. You can't just lose the fat around your waist. I'm not really sure of the best cardio excercises, but just do a search on here and I'm sure you will find it. The only reason you can still see my six pack is because of my extremely high metabolism. I have a lot harder time gaining weight though, so it has it's good and it's bad points. Hope that helps!

Diet is the answer along with the exercise. Abs showing is a direct result of diet. You can do cardio till the cows come home, and without a change in diet, you will see no results other than being more cardiovascularly fit. Haven't you noticed people doing hundreds of sets of abs, and tons of cardio, and still look the same and not have abs show? Diet holds the key.
