yooperjim Posts: 104 Joined: 2005/09/01	2005/09/21, 04:36 AM Ummm, kinda embarassing, but is it necessary to wear a jockstrap for lifting? I've never really liked them, too tight and uncomfortable. Are they supposed to prevent injuries or something? Jim

I just wasn't sure if squats could damage anything...anyway, topic brings me way back to when I was 16...I had started a working student program with an internationally known riding instructor (horseback) and at the start of my first lesson she asked me if I was wearing a jockstrap! Talk about embarassing. I mean the lady was 79 years old. After about a week of riding with her, I thought an armored crotch guard would have been more effective. Jim
