Starting tomorrow I will start taking C2, and creatine powder for the first time. My goals, thanks to C2, will be to gain muscle and burn fat. I'm really excited about my pending abs. Anyway, the problem is creatine is supposed to be taken with juice, which is not permitted on cutting diets, so what should I do- water or juice?

Second, protein and creatine don't exactly mesh because protein slows absorption. So, which should I take post workout- creatine or protein?

Personally I would buy some creatine from the store that has some sugars in it that helps you to get the creatine into your bloodstream, use that immediately after a workout take your creatine mix with the sugars then down your protein shake and you should be fine.. it shouldn't store anything as fat if you worked out hard so don't worry about that interfering with your cutting plan... you might gain some weight but with all the lean muscle gains you should lose a lot of fat

the best thing for you to do would be to pick up some maltodextrin and dextrose. take 1/4 of your bodyweight in grams divided b/t the 2 (ie you weigh 200 lbs, so 25 g dex and 25 g malto) plus your creatine. if you cant get a hold of these, powdered gatorade will work too.

anyways, mix all this together with your postworkout protein. seeing as how you are cutting, take 1/4 of your bodyweight in grams of protein. mix in some water, and you have your "cutting postworkout shake"

The whole purpose of taking creatine is to provide the muscles with phosphate to aid production of ATP when breaking down glucose. This just slightly prolongs the ATP production to give you a little extra explosiveness and may add a rep or 2 to your set. creatine does not need to be taken directly after your workout it can be taken any time although post workout is better for take up. but you should give protein priororty post workout. just take your creatin at regular intervals to ensure it is available when its needed. the times for taking creatine are not crucial as it is stored and only used when its needed. my advise is to go by the manufactures recomendations but put protien first PWO I would also add that loading will get it in to your system faster but it is kinder on your system to build it up gradually. Creatine also pulls water into your muscles and can make them apear bigger.

If I go on a loading phase, that'll be a lot of sugar, so should I wait to start taking the C2 for my cutting phase, since it won't work without a strict diet?

Plus, how much creatine should I take per day during a loading phase and for how long does tha phase last? Will those directions be on the label?

Froshman. You can not cut and gain at the same time. Your body will be reluctant to gain muscle when calorific intake is low. To get cut you must first overshoot your goal. i.e you must gain more muscle than you want before you cut, as some musle will be inevetably shed when you lower your callories in the cutting phase. Trying to cut and gain muscle is not possible the body just dont work like that. Your body is geard to concerving callories, muscle burns callories, so if your body detects a lac of callories then what makes you think it would respond by adding muscle? think about it, it would be a dumb move would'nt it? Muscle is a luxury as far as the body is concerned. a luxury that it can do without in times of fammin. sorry bout the grammer but I hope the message is clear. you must gain before you can lose. oh and you only need C2 if your an ectomorph (hard gainer) so pointless taking it while cutting. basic creatine should be ok for you but get a reputable brand and instructions will be on the tub.

Thanks for the response, Iron, but C2 is a fat burner. Why would I need it if I'm a hardgainer.

$30 a tub? I hope it works for you, but I have yet to come across a so called fat burner that lives up to its manufactures claims to such an extent that it is worth shelling out so much money. I looked into the product and it seems to me that your doing all the hard work and paying them for the privalidge. However I have never used the product so must reserve judgment. I am sure thought that if you were to use your $30 on some healthy food and work hard you will do as well if not better, but bare in mind what I said earlier, burning fat and adding muscle in my experiance never works. If it were possible we would have became extinct a long time ago.

Why do you say that? cAmp has gotten great reviews on this site, and C2 is said to be better. granted, i have only used it for a week thus far and it could turn out to be a dud, but this Forslean stuff is supposed to work miracles.

I aint slagging it. like I said, I have'nt tried it. I hope it does work for you. It seems you have done your research on it so good look with it. However I still dont go along with building and cutting at the same time.
