I was wondering can you drink protein shakes even though you dont work out? Can someone tell me when is the best time to drink, I know right after you work out or before it right? but i was also wondering if i can drink it in the morning or whenever.
Yes, but if you do drink the protein shakes, I definitely wouldn't put any dextrose or maltrose in them. They would give you a spike but would probably store all your protein as fat or just come out in the end... Days that you workout you wanna put the sugars in so it gets to your muscles faster and begins the repairing process. Then again all of that is going to depend on your insulin sensitivity. But yes, drink your protein shakes on days that you don't work out especially if you're busy during the day and are unable to get enough protein through regular diet.
