I read that she did lots of squats & lunges using 7 1/2# dumbbells doing 3 sets of 25-30. Am I using too much weight if I'm using 15# dumbbells. Am I building too much muscle this way? I want my legs to be thinner and my inner thighs not to touch when I walk. Should I be doing light weights and more reps? Thanks to all who respond. I have been on this site many times, but never posted.

All I can really say is that women will not "bulk" up by lifting heavey. It is not in our genes.
I have her whole routine that I got out of the PEOPLE mag and I could post it but she did it 6 days a week.
She also did about 1hr of cardio 6 days a week. To me this equals over kill. Your muscles need to rest.
Anyways let me know if you want it and I can post it sometime tomorrow.....

Oh, sorry I also wanted to tell you that you can't spot reduce. You need to eat clean and do cardio 4-5 days a week. Eat 5-6 small meals a day to rev your metabolism.
I am also sure you will get more responses if you fill out your profile with your stats and goals so people know where your coming from and how to help you....

lol, try some liposuction and body creams....sorry it just had to be said. I am sure she did some extreme workouts to get in the shape she is in now, but will it last is the question???

A lot of celebraties work out according to whatever roles it is that they are peforming, hence the yo-yo dieting and workouts.

The best way to get what you want is a good strength training plan along with cardio and a clean diet.

Thank you for your reply. I actually looked on the internet yesterday for anything about her trainer, Mike Alexander, to see if he had posted the workout she had done. Never did find anything so if you post it for me when you get a chance, that would be great. Also, I posted my profile; thank you for pointing out that my was not set right. Take care, Kim

essexs....thank you for the leg workout. Was that Jessica's workout or one that you recommend? Either way it looks like a good workout. Please clarify what Body-Weight Squats means...is this with no weights at all? I also don't know what Prone-kneeling Leg Extensions are.

Yes. Body-Weight = no weight. Let me see if I can describe Prone-kneeling Leg Extensions :)

You're on your hands and knees. Keep your knees at a 90 degree angle. Lift one leg up to where your knee is horizontal with your torso.
