i do pushups as a warm up for my chest workouts and im gaining weight so its always getting more resistant but i was wondering if any one knew the percentage of your body weight your actually pushing when you do a proper push up and if any one knows the percent when your feet are elevated 2 ft up

Well, there is a highly easy way to figure this out using fatigues as a standard... how much can you benchpress? I myself when I tried one time could bench 80 about 8 or 9 times... doing pushups I can do a lot maybe 50 or 60 so depending on your body weight it could be anywhere from 20 to 30 lbs less than your bodyweight.

And I'm wanting to say it's probably much less than that.... do a pushup and compare it to a bench press that you train with... its a LOT lighter...
