I just got off the phone with my doc - I have to thank everyone on the ft boards for helping me.
My doc had my new cholesterol numbers in -- in less than 3 months I lowered my cholesterol from a 245 to a 180! Bad cholesterol (LDLs) went from 182 to 127! WOW! I'm back down to normal!
Not only that, but my other two goals when I started were reached too! I gained 15 pounds and I'm easily hitting the ball farther by at least one and sometimes two clubs (that's golf if you didn't know).
Thanks to everyone (there were many of you) that answered my newbie questions which helped get me started. Now I'll just continue doing what I've been doing and see if I can build on this some more!

congrats, John. I don't post often but I know just how you feel. I too, have lowered my Cholesterol (225 to 190), lost 33lbs and feel oh so much better. Doesn't it feel good to be a winner? Now, if only I could improve MY golf game. Just got back and I stunk. Judie
